When To Start Worrying About
Not Getting Pregnant

Are you wondering when to start worrying about not getting pregnant? How many months should it take to get pregnant? How long should I be trying before I get help? Well it's good to know that this is totally understandable. Because in patriarchy, numbers, age and ticking clocks have taken centre stage in fertility. Naturally then, we ask "how long?". "When should I?"

And when exploring when to start worrying about not getting pregnant, we receive answers based on what is currently perceived as normal and possible for a woman. Of a certain age. What conventional (patriarchal) wisdom believes about fertility, the feminine and the co-creative process.

When To Start Worrying About
Not Getting Pregnant - Patriarchal View

From a patriarchal perspective the question 'when to start worrying about not getting pregnant?' is a very good one. Because it draws us back into numbers and facts. The security of the mental/logical/rational space that patriarchy revels in. And the place from which it can and does create huge value for millions of people.

I am thinking of IUI and IVF in particular. But also the ability to check for thryoid function and many other issues that have an impact on fertility. Especially for a woman over 40 who wants to have a baby. The tools of patriarchy are countless and I am grateful that they are available to us.

But let's get back to the question 'when to start worrying about not getting pregnant?'. Because the question itself speaks volumes about the current idea of fertility on the planet. In short, it reflects a perspective on fertility and the co-creative process that does not include the feminine. Beyond her obvious biological/physiological contribution. I refer here to the world of feelings, expectations, fears, intuitions, desires and how they contribute to results.

When To Start Worrying About
Not Getting Pregnant - Feminine Wisdom

With an understanding of the role of the feminine in co-creation, we answer the question 'when to start worrying about not getting pregnant?' in a very different way.

And instead of focusing on the word "when" in that question. We immediately hone in on the word "worrying". Why? Because we understand the enormous power of feelings and emotions in the creative process. And we know that worry pours a woman's creative energy into what she does not want. So here is the answer the question "when to start worrying about not getting pregnant?"

Never!

Worry is a total waste of your creative energy. (Listen to the audio below on this). Same applies to worrying about your worrying! That does not mean that you don't visit your doctor and follow her advice. Or that you neglect yourself. Or what your beautiful feminine body is trying to communicate to you.

It just means that you adopt another approach. I invite you to replace curiosity with worry. So instead of being lost in angst about not getting pregnant, you might ask yourself instead. "Is my body asking for more support now". And answer that without judgement. "I wonder what medical or other advice would serve me most now".

"How is my feminine wisdom trying to guide me here?". And so begins a new dialogue. That is open to possibility. And open to the idea that your fertility journey, whatever that looks like, is perfect for you. Your journey may include having more support. But instead of that being something to worry about, allow it to be a beautiful part of your motherhood story. One that you will be sharing with your baby......at the perfect time!

There are reasons for not getting pregnant when everything is normal. And the answer to those can often be found as you begin Engaging the Feminine™ in your fertility and life.
